There are data recovery utilities, which are specially designed to help you get back data from Mac hard drive lost due to any cause. Next, select the file and hit Restore button to get it back.Once you spot file, use Space Bar to view it.Then, use up and down arrows to locate specific files that you want to recover.
Open Time Machine either from clicking icon present in the Dock or searching it through Spotlight. In case, you have Time Machine backup, then do as follows to restore your files that are lost after repartitioning. Time Machine backs up entire Mac data which can be restored easily if you lose files from Mac due to any unpredictable situation. However, even after being careful, if you still end up losing data from Mac hard disk while repartitioning, then don’t lose hope because there are many ways using which you can get back your lost data from repartitioned mac drive. Some of the reasons due to which repartition process might get halt and results in data loss are power failure, hardware error, improper termination of the repartition process, etc. It requires more attention because if any interruption during repartition process can result in data loss from Mac hard drive. I have tried this process several times, always with the external disk with the Time Machine version connected, but always the above same result.Repartitioning a hard drive isn’t an easy process. I am expecting to see the "Setup assistant" but at the end of reinstall process my system restarts with the old installation (with the old Users and everything). I choose "Reinstall macOS" but after 30 minutes of install process not option about using an existing Time Machine backup asked. I "Accept" but id doesn't allow me because is a different model and it recommends to me to choose "Reinstall macOS" and wait for the option of restore from Time Machine during the reinstallation process ( "You can't restore this backup because it was created by a different model of Mac"). I choose the proper backup version from my Time Machine hard drive.
I restart the system in recover mode: "cmd + r". I am struggling to restore my system from a MacBook Pro of one generation to a more new one.
